- Teach you the skills, strategies, and techniques that lead to impactful, engaging, memorable content writing

Introducing: A Professional Writing Course That Transforms You from Stuffy Essay Writer to Savvy Word Warrior
- It won’t teach you SEO-centric writing.
- It won’t teach you content strategy or conversion methods.
It’s completely different, and it follows a teaching method I’ve been dreaming of for years: an unlearn method.
Here’s how it works.
For the first part of the program, I’ll teach you how to UNLEARN the #1 bad habit preventing you from dominating the online writing world.
Know what that habit is?
You might be surprised when you hear it: The essay writing habit.
For years, your schoolteachers and professors engrained this habit into your brain. You learned how to form a thesis statement. You learned how to use supporting sentences in a paragraph. You learned how to craft lofty-sounding phrases stuffed with “wherefores,” “therefores,” and “thus’s.” You learned double-spacing. You learned how to write to please your professor.
The problem is, people IGNORE that kind of writing online.
I bet you’re one of them. For example, would you continue reading if you came upon an introduction paragraph like this?
“Although education has played an important role in society for generations, its scope and focus have always been controversial. In these articles, the authors debate the advisability of a curriculum based on the trends in the job market. While Anthony Carnevale states that such a curriculum can help students perform better in society, Philip Smith claims that it falls short of higher education’s goal to produce well-rounded graduates who have advanced critical thinking skills and finely developed morals (Carnevale & Smith, 2011).”
Nope. You’d run for the back button like it’d save your life.
Your audience is the same. Feed them stuffed-up mumbo-jumbo like that, and they’ll never get past your first paragraph.
That’s why the first step to becoming a savvy, successful online writer is to UNLEARN the essay writing habit.
After you’ve gotten rid of the essay writing habit, you’ll have a clean slate to start with. From there, I’ll teach you how to craft writing that’s a banquet of rich, impactful, fun, engaging words your audience will devour.
- Gain the favor of your online audience.
- Impress your boss.
- Engage your audience so they like, comment on, and share your content.
- Never again feel stuck without a clue what to write (I’ll give you templates for emails, landing pages, blogs, social media posts, webpages, and so much more!).
Are you ready to take the online writing world by storm?

Why I Decided to Launch this Course: Unveiling the Massive Industry Need to Unlearn Essay Writing
Let’s talk about Erin, one of the new hires at my content agency, Express Writers. (This will give you a peek into your journey as a student with Unlearn Essay Writing).
I’ve never outsourced HR for my agency, Express Writers – ever. So, this means I’m the one in HR, reviewing samples and looking at resumes.
When I looked over Erin’s credentials, I knew immediately she’d be a good fit for my team. Why? Her passion for writing.
She’s a history graduate with sharp research skills and a deep passion for writing. (Like me, she’s adored writing since she was 12.)
However, Erin didn’t have a ton of experience other than academically.
Fast forward a few days later, and Erin was writing her first assignment, a resource on the topic of UX writing.
When she finished, she uploaded it for me to read.
Here was her first paragraph:
“UX has become an extremely relevant topic in recent years, but it is a field that is still somewhat obscure and unknown as it is still early in its growth. Nonetheless, it is clear that this field is quickly becoming an important area of focus for business, and so there is a lot of potential in this industry.”
You’re right. It’s the essay writing style. ?
I immediately set down to work training Erin. I showed her how to cut fluff from her sentences, amp up her writing with power-punching words, and create concise, irresistible phrases I know any audience would adore.
Two assignments later, her writing looked like this:
“Think of your business as a restaurant. You are the chef, and your role is to produce great food (content) that they will love. And you want them to love it enough that they keep coming back for more. …Now that you have the four-step recipe for getting past your inner critic to content that matters, you’re ready to publish great material.”
So much better!
Right now, Erin is a member of our agency payroll, loving her work—and getting paid for it.
Erin’s journey is why I’m launching Unlearn Essay Writing.
90-99% of the candidates we get, we have to turn away. Why? They don’t know how to break the cycle of essay writing and write for an online reader.
It’s a massive—massive—problem.
I’ve decided to launch a resource to try and fix this problem. As an Enneagram Type 8 (The Challenger), I thrive on a good challenge.
And this is quite possibly the biggest I’ve taken on.
